Credit Grabber July 12, 2007

What’s your stand on a credit grabber?
It’s been few months that I’ve been tortured by a credit grabber. I am not sure if this person actually realizes what it’s been doing. I’m not even sure if it considers its doings as credit grabbing.
Honestly, I was not too sure myself, but did it stop? Nope… this makes it a proof that it was not done unconsciously, rather with a purpose. However, I am still not 100% sure since I see that being insensitive is one of its main ingredients. So let’s not judge the person and give it the benefit of the doubt.
Now let’s make a list of what has been done so far:
- Pretending to be smart… but why missing the point all the time?
- Pretending to work so hard and being there all the time… but has anything been done on time?
- Creating the image of being organized and meticulous…. but what’s with all of these flaws?
- Suggesting all these great ideas… but where did you get those from?
- Bragging to be the best… but why giving up midway?
- Grabbing your job right out of your hands… but who’s doing yours?
And so much more, I just can’t recall now.
Well, I am not saying that this is how it is all the time, but I have noticed on few occasions.
If you were in my shoe, how would you deal with this?
PS. if you think it is you I’m talking about, then let me tell you that it is not you! This person is too insensitive

It is so amazing that how some people always have something to comment on others but in reality, they are not doing half as well. When you come to think of it, they never could, because they have their head filled with the life of others that they don’t have the time to mind their own life. hahaha…
This really pisses me off. I mean really really.
They always think they know more and that they are always correct. Never thinking of the others and never putting themselves in the shoe of the one they are commenting on. Never considering the situation, rather, just commenting because they think it was not right. Have they ever thought of analyzing the situation and evaluating the actions based on the welfare of the that person not based on their on welfare and situation.
I think it’s just human nature. I my self, am trying to be more sensitive to the feelings of others. Don’t know if I’m succeeding though. Hahaha…

It’s here… After the long wait… It is finally here with me… My new laptop… Whoooh…
I’ve been waiting for it for six long months, but now the wait is over and the anxiousness is gone, because I have it now and it’s on my lap.
My laptop came last Saturday together with two other laptops (Claire’s and Junelle’s). We’ve been waiting for them since Friday and were very disappointed that it was delayed, but it finally arrived on Saturday.
A great laptop indeed.
1.0Gb DDR2-667MHz, Intel® Centrino® Duo Mobile Technology, built in web cam, DVD Dual and much much more!
Thanks again to DS.

Dinagyang 2007 February 6, 2007

Dinagyang is a festival celebrated every 4th weekend of January in Iloilo City Philippines in honor of Sto. Nino.
It is actually a one week celebration but the Highlights are on the 4th Saturday of January which is referred to as “Kasadyahan” which means Merry Making and of course the “Dinagyang” on The 4th Sunday.
There is beautiful and colorful parades of people dancing in the streets, wearing unique tribal cutoms and shouting “Viva Senior Sto. Nino” and “Hala Bira” On top of their lungs.
Dinagyang is One of my favorite times of the year. Dance, shout, eat and drink all you want and no one is going to stop you…

RSI: Repeatitive Strain Injury December 14, 2006

It has been a couple of days that I felt pain somewhere in between the base of my thumb and wrist. I didn’t pay much attention to it at first and made it go away just by applying over-the-counter pain killer liniment. However one night when I was just fooling around the office, it started to pain severly and I was caught up by surprise since I was not even touching anything.
I started exercising it by moving my wrist back and forth and pushing further each time thinking it would make the pain go away. Little did I know it made it WORST! At the end of the day I couldnt even move my hand anymore because of the pain it caused.
I was adviced by my mom to wrap it so to keep it from moving and to keep it warm. I applied some more liniment and wrapped it. She also refrained me from using my arm.
Ohhh my… it was so hard. I coudn’t even eat comfortably. It is my right hand for gods sake.. I couldn’t even clip my hair, wash my self, close my brassier, etc… this pain was killing me.
Fortunately after 3 days and after several anti inflamatory tablets the pain started to fade and I was again able to do some work on my own.
After doing some researches, I came to this guy’s page who also experienced same thing. I found out that it is called RSI (Repeatitive Strain Injury). http://www.webreference.com/rsi.html
RSI (also know as cumulative trauma disorder) is a soft-tissue injury in which muscles, nerves, or tendons become irritated or inflamed. RSI is caused by repetitive motions, excessive force, and extremes of motion. Over time these motions can strain the soft tissues, reducing circulation. These stresses create tiny tears in the muscles and tendons, which become inflamed. In extreme cases it can cause permanent tissue damage and disability.
Ohhh my… Just what I needed… Another sources of stress added to my daily complicated life… Haaayyyy….

Biggest Pizza November 15, 2006

Last November 5 was sir Danny’s birthday. Everyone was quite excited since he decided to treat us out.
At 2:00AM in the morning, we headed towards the newly opened pizza parlor just a few blocks away from our office.
I was quite hesitant at first. I was scared that we’ll exceed the budget given to us and I didn’t want anyone to spend their personal money on this. But everyone seemed to be excited to be eating at a new restaurant for a change.
When we got there, we decided to go with the XXL pizza that was in the menu. We order 2 XXL pizza and fearing it’ll be not enough for the 35 of us, we ordered an extra family size of same flavor.
I asked the waiter if how long do we have to wait till the order’s in and he said 20 minutes. I got really upset because we had like just about 35 minutes left of our one hour break but everything changed when we saw the XXL pizza… It was the biggest pizza I’ve ever seen in my life. It was a 30″ pizza for Gods sake and everyone was so amazed just looking at it.
In a few minutes everyone started to dig in. It was really big and I guess everyone got more than a fair share.
Though the taste was not so good but I guess it was worth the experience.
Chicken Pox November 7, 2006

I had the Chicken pox just a week ago…
It had been a few days already
that I felt weak and sick… At first I just thought it was due to my low carb diet that I felt weak, exhausted and shaky all over. Then I woke up with a big bump on my inner thigh. I got Scared and immediately showed it to my Mom. My mom who already has gotten used to my paranoia of getting sick, just laughed and said “its an ant bite, don’t worry”. I swore it was not an ant bite but she just said pray that its not chicken pox! Duh!
So I went down and showed my bump to my cousin who had Herpes Zoster or more popular as “Shingles” just 2 weeks ago. She said she is not sure but said it looks like chicken pox alright. Then we started searching for Chicken Pox symptom’s on her PC. I saw that “shingles” was listed under same category as chicken Pox. I told her if this is really chicken pox, then I must have gotten it from her since it says here shingles and chicken pox are caused by same virus. She said it’s impossible because her doctor had said that shingles is not contagious. Later I found out that shingles is really not contagious as “shingles” but it is contagious as “Chicken Pox”! What a dumb doctor! I don’t know if she really didn’t know about this or just too damn irresponsible to let her patients know!
After the confirmation of my disease I wanted to die. Why?
- I am really paranoid when it comes to sickness and diseases. I think I have Phobia!
- My husband (Sajid) was out of town and could not return in a short notice thus I had no one to watch over me and baby-sit me…hehehe…
- I had work at office and was doubtful if somebody could handle.
- Our Sick leave benefit at office was still under negotiation and I didn’t want to go a whole week (or even two) without salary!
I am really glad now that I got through my illness without any major problems. Everything worked out just great.
Another thing that was bugging me was my look and scars I might acquire but thanks God It’s all gone now without leaving any permanent scar. Just a few brown spots which I guess will disappear in few weeks time.
